An unique coverage of big catsNovember 16, 2007 20 out of 21 found this review helpful
The Big Cats features three discs offering unique and rare coverage of nature most viscious predators. The creatures are regarded as endangered, as their population faces huge declines.
The first disc offers coverage of Africa's three big cats, the sociable lions, fastest land mamals on the earth, the cheetah with a staggering speed of 70mph and nocturnal and solitary hunter the leapard. Their presence pose a huge threat for the livestock and even humans. The nautral scenery of Africa is breathtaking and absolutely beautiful, with the large savannah lands, rivers and towering trees.
The second disc offers rare coverage of the wild cats stretching from the Rockies Mountains, forests, the North American deserts and the Amazon forest. These include bobcats, lynxs. ocelots, pumas and the fearsome jaguaar. This though did present a difficult and challenging task, as these wild cats are rarely seen and their precise wherasbouts are difficult to pinpoint. The coverage given is really unique and great to watch. The natural scenery covers a wide spectrum as identified above and it really amazing to watch as a viewer.
The third disc principal focus is about the status a lion evoked in Africa. The lion is viewed as the pride and joy of Africa. It is a stunning looking creature with a fearsome presence and mytholoigical label.
Big Cats package offers a visual footage accompanied with an expert analysis of the habitats of these big cats featured. For example the cubs learn to become effective hunters through the mentoring by the mum. The material covered in the DVD is really interesting and fascinating to absorb in. The DVD package I consider great value for money as you gain exclusive coverage of nearly three hours footage of wild cats found in particular terrioties of the Western hemisphere and Africa. If you are fascinated with the animal kingdom, then this DVD will certainly satisfy your taste.
