Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A genuinely useful and accessible book.   March 17, 2004

This book is head and shoulders above other manuals aimed at encompassing exotics as a single subject, it contains useful information for owners, nurses and non specialised vets on everything from diet and environmental conditions to anatomy (something I have yet to find in other books) and medical and surgical tips. The book is well illustrated with both line drawings and photographs (my favorite being the hamster in the elizabethan collar) which makes it easy to use.
The text is clear, concise and easy to follow, it does not head off into technical terms without explaining them first, and each section develops in a logical and step like manner. This is a book that can either be referred to for a required piece of information or read as an informative text.
