Having moved out of London to the west country we are lucky enough to own 25 acres in the West Country. We are in the market for a compact tractor to look after our paddocks, garden and woodland. I started to research the options avaliable by trawling the web and smallholding magazines and was struck by the number of options avaliable, including cheap import flat-pack tractors, mid range options like the Welsh built Shire and the higher end brands like John Deere, Ford and Kubota. I bought "The Compact Tractor Bible" thinking that it would help this decision-making process but it does nothing close. It includes piles of useless information and little analysis or review. I would not recommend you buy it.
