Graham Quick has been in the pond business for over 25 years and it shows. He apologises at the beginning for what may be an opinionated approach, but his sheer knowledge and experience comes over in every page of the book. The colour guides and photographs are good, some of the illustrations rather crude. But he covers a wide range of topics and lists a good selection of plants. An index and bibliography would have made this 5*.
