Summary: A must have guide for general travelers and wildlife experts alike
Reviewer: A wildlife enthusiast and traveler to Seychelles

This book is an exceptionally well written natural history of Seychelles.

It provides useful background on the geography, climate and habitats of the islands as well as conservation of the amazing animals and plants that live on them. It also contains travel tips such as where best to go to see particular animals or features.

The main identification sections use clear photographs to identify the birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and most commonly seen invertebrates, all with clear, informative notes on identification, behaviour, breeding, distribution and status.

In addition there is an illustrated key to dragonflies and damselflies, a checklist to the regularly occurring animal species with distribution, and a complete checklist of birds in northern Seychelles. It also gives local names for species which is very useful.

This book certainly informs and entertains any visit to Seychelles.
