A great read!!November 27, 2008 What a great book to read. I have never read a book that had made me laugh out loud so much but also cry as well. I loved this book and would esp recommend it for dog lovers.
BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!November 14, 2008 This is the best book i've ever read. When reading this it makes you laugh at all the bad things marley did but then the end is so so so so so sad. A great memoir for a great dog I say. Can't wait to see the film version, out here February 2009 and out in America on Christmas day 2008. It's got Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston in it so it's got to be as good as the book.
The best book I've read in years!October 29, 2008 Having owned a labrador myself, I fully expected to enjoy this book, but it exceeded my expectations by some considerable margin. I laughed and cried out loud. The style of writing is hilarious, and I truly believe that even a non dog lover would be entertained.
Emotional rollercoaster of dog ownershipOctober 25, 2008 This book has everything -laugh out loud humour, tears, up's and down's of dog ownership and life. For anyone who has ever owned a dog, this book will touch their hearts as you go from begining to end with the loveable Marley - despite the fact the book cover reads "worlds worst dog" you will wish it was you that had gone and picked Marley up that day!!!!
Brilliant and so so sad!October 6, 2008 I purchased this book on the spur of the moment after reading the great reviews it received. I am so pleased I did.
If you're a dog or an animal lover then this book will reach into your body pulling at your heart. I haven't cried so much for a while. As I was nearing the end of this book. I was sobbing so much my tears were from heart wrenching sobs. I really loved getting know Marley and his family in this book, and although I shed a few tears at the beginning of the book and during the end, there were many moments where I was sat laughing in stitches through reading about his antics.
This is such a heartfelt true story of how John and Jenny got their first puppy, and how he changed their lives for the next 13 years. Causing havoc and distress at the worst of times but also in an instant bringing happiness and laughter and lessons in life, to all who loved him.
I recommend this book to everyone. It is a book I shall always keep close to my heart.
