5 out of 5 stars At last a man admits to being as mad about cats as women are!   January 3, 2009

This is a delightful story about the adventures of the numerous cats that pass through Tom's life and his reaction to them and their reaction to him and each other. As a besotted (male) owner of two cats it is good to know I'm not the only one out there. The book is not for the faint hearted; there is death (mice, birds), destruction (house, parts of the human body) and mayhem but also some loving and tender moments that make it a purrrrfectly delightful book to read. Obviously I smirked smugly when I read about the mayhem - my cats sat obediently on my lap and purred contentedly while I read this book (who am I kidding!). This book is a must for all cat lovers.

I LOVED this book. I've recommended it to all my fellow feline lovers. Living with a secret cat man, I hope this book will help him come out ;0)

But on a serious note, it's a great read. SO many parallels to my own life with cats. Well written and funny.

Under The Paw has to be the best book about living with cats that Ive ever read!
Full of funny little things that cats get up to, and i can relate to Tom as i have three cats of my own that all get up to mischief.

A good fun light hearted book that will make you smile, but i warn you, you wont be able to put this one down once you start reading it!

5 out of 5 stars Under The Paw- my all time favourite book!   October 27, 2008

Sharply observed and eloquently written, very funny, sometimes sad and totally unputdownable! A must read book for all cat lovers everywhere. I agree that you have to slow down towards the end, you just dont want it to end. The book draws you into their life, I just wanted to pack a bag and go and stay with Tom, Dee and these adorable kitties just for a while...
Cant wait for the sequel, bring it on, Tom.

Finished this last night and would definitely recommend it to anyone who has had the pleasure of sharing their life with a cat. Funny observations a lot of which I could realte to although I only have the 2 cats (for now....) Highly recommended!
